Because HALO can't continue providing that specialty service while maintaining the low prices that our clients are accustomed to. Apple requires a repair service to purchase or rent sets of repair tools specific to each device model. This simply isn’t a viable service option for us.

An average computer or laptop repair that doesn’t require replacement parts takes less than seventy-two hours and is usually less than $300.00 USD.

For all estimated repairs over $100.00 USD we do require a cash deposit of 50% estimated service invoice total.

No personal or third party checks of any kind will be accepted for any reason.

Yes, you can pay your service invoice with a credit card. HALO Computing accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, AMEX, DISCOVER and PAYPAL.  Credit card payments are NOT eligible for any discounts or special offers and will be charged a processing fee. ALL FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS MUST PAY IN CASH.

NO, you cannot make partial payments. Your property will be held by HALO until you have paid your current service invoice in full. The customer will purchase ALL REQUIRED HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE BEFORE ANY REPAIRS BEGIN. You must pay your total bill, including accrued storage fees, within twenty-one [ 21 ] calendar days after services are rendered.  If we receive no payments or communication from you for twenty-one [ 21 ] days after work on your device is completed, your device will be considered abandoned and become the property of HALO. To speak plainly, the 'other repair people' are being a bit deceptive with you and are probably not certified. All of our technicians and staff actually hold degrees in computing, are A+ certified, fully accredited and have at least twenty years of field experience. We offer our valued customers affordable professional solutions and repairs, not excuses or hidden fees. Remember that nothing is ever really free when conducting business. Also, ridiculously low service rates should raise doubts in an attentive consumer. How can a business stay afloat when they charge such a low rate? Probably because they have another source of revenue, hence the computer repair business is merely a hobby or diversion. So it’s down to what you would rather do. Do you want a part-time hobbyist or professionally certified technician with an actual college degree repairing your device and retrieving your damaged data? We’ve recently had some of their customers come to us to correct some improperly repaired devices and it turns out that the 'free estimate' by the folks down the road usually turns into a major problem that costs around $200.00 to repair.

So as we’ve stated there really isn’t a FREE service in business.

HALO can build you any type of gaming computer imaginable, but you must bring with all of the cash required or a credit card with sufficient available funds and proper identification. All customers will be purchasing any needed hardware BEFORE project labor begins.  A deposit of at least 50% of the estimated invoice total will be required as well.

HALO Computing operates with the lowest possible overhead to reduce cost and service prices.

Maintaining an active inventory equals drastically higher prices for customers. All the customers that we’ve asked said that they like the idea of lower prices much more than active inventory, the people have spoken and we have listened to them.

We do not keep any repair parts in stock and never will.

Yes, we can repair your laptop screen, it may take over a month though. The replacement parts will probably have to be shipped from China via the cheapest rate possible. Things have improved, but there are still supply chain problems. If your laptop is 4-5 years old, it's probably cheaper for you to purchase a new laptop and have HALO migrate your files and data to the new device.

HALO does NOT offer circuit board repair services.

The amount that our customers are willing to pay us for these services make it unprofitable for us.

It’s cheaper for you to contact the OEM manufacturer for a full replacement or look on Amazon or eBay.

To be frank, because there’s not enough money in it for us when done properly. The strip mall quick repair shop is probably putting a replacement screen in that fits your device but is not a licensed OEM compliant item. As with previous Apple lawsuits and documented repair denials, the refurbished Chinese items have been designated as COUNTERFEIT by Federal Law. This is notoriously bad for iDevice owners as it completely voids any active warranty and may disqualify the device from being traded in for an upgrade when the time comes. It’s also a big legal target to be painted on a repair business.

Yes, but you’ll need to purchase the software first and bring it to us along with your hardware. If you’d like, we can help you find the best price for the application, for a nominal service fee. HALO does NOT purchase software for customers.

THAT DEPENDS. Did you drop the device off less than twenty-one [21] days ago? If so, you can still pick up your property, provided you've got the cash to pay your repair bill and accrued storage fees. If you've left the device here and it's been over a month then it's already been recycled. You do, however, still owe us payment for the repairs and storage. Please check your voicemails or emails, you'll see clearly that you were contacted on four [4] separate occasions informing you of these circumstances. So yeah, stop on by and pay us what you owe us. Remember, HALO Computing is a computer repair and network construction company, not a "U Store It". Please do read the TERMS and FAQ web pages on this website before you bring in a device for diagnosis and repair.
